The Philippines: Pasig River Rehabilitation Programme

Project Manager: Coordination and implementation of this 5-year multi-component TA project and Equipment support to the Pasig River, Lake Laguna, Manila Bay ecosystem and economic development zone in cooperation with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Metro-Manila City and Municipal Governments, Metro-Manila Development Authority, Lake Laguna Development Authority and local communities. Components included: City and Municipal Waste Management, Monitoring of industrial polluters, water quality measurement laboratory facilities, support to community-based waste management people’s organisations and NGOs, the First Lady’s (Amelita Ramos) Pasig River Fund, squatter relocation, and community development. The Philippines: Environmental and Socio-Economic Development Study for Lake Laguna

The Philippines: National Watershed Management Study

Project Manager: Project identification and formulation, financial engineering, appraisal, Government Agreement, TA Service contract management, project coordination and implementation. Kenya: The Reintegration of Qualified African Nationals Programme
Sector: Human Development/Refugees/Economic and Social Development
Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Deputy Head of Mission: Implementation of EEC and US State Department financed programme for the return of qualified Kenyan and Ugandan Nationals, providing recruitment, selection and placement support with public and private sector employers, and financial and logistical repatriation support. Over a 2-year project period, close to 100 highly qualified professionals and their families were repatriated and reintegrated into Kenyan and Ugandan private business and public sector and society.
